College Orientation Day is taking place Monday, January 11 for Ottawa Campus Level 1 Winter intake students (full-time). Here’s what staff and faculty need to know for their own knowledge or for student questions. Professors will receive further instruction from their Chairs/Deans regarding Program Orientation:
College Orientation Day is about students getting to know the campus, their program, and the people who will be a big part of their experience at Algonquin — the professors and the other students. Participants’ first day at Algonquin College begins with College Orientation Day on Monday, January 11. Morning classes are suspended for Level 1 Winter intake students (full-time); classes will take place as usual starting at noon.
College Orientation Day will include:
• Program Orientation
• Campus tours
• Networking and socializing with professors and peers
• A breakfast with students and faculty
The goal for College Orientation is to help students feel comfortable and connected to their new campus, and better prepared to begin their academic journey. Both Pre-Orientation and College Orientation Day are important and they each offer something different, so we encourage students to attend both!
