Linuxmas is Linux Presentation Day: Holiday Edition. Linux Presentation Day is a non-commercial, international event which offers the general public a look at Linux in everyday situations and the opportunity to test it and ask questions (free of charge). Linuxmas is hosted by the CST8177 Linux II class in the School of Advanced Technology.
Linuxmas aims at people who don't know Linux but who want to know more about it. Linuxmas is not an event where people get help with installing Linux on their computer; instead, presenters at Linuxmas can help the visitors decide whether they want to test Linux on their own system, or give them a closer look at it first before making this decision.
Linuxmas will take place over three days, and we will be demonstrating nearly fifty different distributions of Linux. All Linuxmas events are taking place in the lobby of T building, just outside room T102. Please refer to the website at www.linuxpresentationday.com for a list of the dates and times at which distributions will be available to look at.
