Remembrance Day Ceremony: Thursday, November 11 

Off-Campus: 
All employees and students are invited to watch the live stream of the Ottawa Campus ceremony, which beings at 10:45 a.m. Register to receive the link to the live stream >>REGISTER HERE 

Ottawa Campus: 
For those students and employees who will be on campus at the time of the event (11:00 am), we ask faculty to break and observe a moment of silence.  Additionally, there will be messaging on the digital screens at approximately 10:55 am asking for a moment of silence at 11:00 am.    

For those students and employees on campus, you can also watch the live ceremony in the Marketplace Food Court which starts at 10:45 a.m. (please arrive by 10:40 a.m.) 

Lest We Forget’ Project 
All are welcome to contribute to the ‘Lest We Forget’ project, a slide show to honour the memory of veterans from any conflict who are related to friends of employees and students at the College. This slide show will be shown on myAC and also during the Ottawa campus ceremony on November 11.  Please click HERE for a PDF sample of the slide show, as well as a template PowerPoint slide to submit your memory slide. The deadline to submit your slide is by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8. Please email your slide to events@algonquincollege.com 

 
Perth Campus: 
A full public Remembrance Day Service will take place at the Cenotaph in front of the Great War Memorial Hospital located at 33 Drummond Street West in Perth. A wreath will be laid by a Veteran or Legion member on behalf of Algonquin College Perth Campus. The service will begin at 10:40 am. 

The Perth Campus will also be live-streaming the National ceremony in the Student Commons. 

Pembroke Campus: 
Pembroke will be broadcasting a virtual Remembrance Day service in the Commons area. More details to come through myAC.
