Algonquin College only Canadian school up for prestigious NACCE award
March 21, 2018
Submitted by the Ignite Centre, Algonquin's nomination highlights how innovation and entrepreneurship are central themes of AC’s 2017–2022 Strategic Plan and how, through both non-curricular initiatives and curricular content, employees work tirelessly each day to achieve President Cheryl Jensen’s goal to "instill in every student and embed in every program a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship."
Algonquin College was the first college in Ontario, and one of only three in Canada, to sign the NACCE President Pledge.
It is the only Canadian College on the list of finalists for the award.
Winners, in each of the 5 nominated categories, will be announced on Monday, April 30 at the American Association of Community Colleges’ conference in Dallas, Texas.
