LMS Weekly Update: FAQ and Training Updates

Work is well underway on the implementation and migration process towards the Brightspace Learning Management System. With this progress comes updates surrounding training for faculty members. Here are some new pieces of information we can share surrounding training:
 
  • All faculty/facilitators teaching with Brightspace in the spring semester have been invited to participate in training. All other Faculty training for Brightspace will take place this May/June.
  • We invite Chairs/Managers/Program Coordinators to immediately book group sessions with the training team by contacting Farbod Karimi at karimif@algonquincollege.com or Jay Smith at smithj4@algonquincollege.com .
  • Registration opens on April 30, 2018 for other training opportunities. Check our website for more information to come.
We will also be hosting a focus group session for students on Friday, April 13th for a discussion surrounding Brightspace, and what changes they can be expecting. If you know of any student who may be interested, please have them register at https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/new-lms-focus-group-for-students-tickets-44849371678 .
