LMS Weekly Update: Online Training Video

Do you want to learn about the LMS at your computer and at your own pace? See this new video for instructions on how to complete your Brightspace Essentials faculty training online.
Ongoing group training sessions are another way to acquaint yourself with the workings of Brightspace, which will be the only LMS in use at the College effective Sept. 5, 2018. These sessions continue to draw enthusiastic responses from participating faculty.
“Brightspace has made things simpler for me,” says Dr. Donald Moen, professor, English for Academic Purposes. “In the grades, students can see their percentages, and which assignments are connected to portfolios and which ones stand alone. As Language Institute faculty, having recording integrated into assignment submissions simplifies what students need to do. Due dates are more prominent in the look and feel. When I edit content, I don’t need to open a new window. It’s just cleaner and more straightforward than what we had before. I think it’s not only a better student experience, but an improved teacher experience, too.”
The June training registration schedule will be available on May 25 and will include lunchtime webinars.
